Frequently Asked Questions

Which programme is right for me?

Lead to Succeed has been designed for leaders in Social Care up to and including Registered Managers. Well-Led is for Managers with a Level 5 or equivalent qualification.

How do I join the online sessions?

Once you join a programme, you will receive details to join each module a week before the module starts.

What level are the courses?

The courses don’t have an associated level. They are for anyone who would like to develop their leadership skills.

Is the course face to face or online?

Currently we deliver all of our courses virtually to protect your team, the people you support and our facilitators.

Do you offer discounts?

We have early bird discounts available on our programmes which give you £50 off per place when you book early. Occasionally we offer further discounts on programmes.

How do I book?

Find the programme you would like to book on to and follow the booking link or get in touch with us if you would like to book your own programme.

Can I book a programme for my whole team?

Yes, you can book a programme for your team, or book your team onto one of our programmes.

What happens if I miss a module?

If you miss a module, you will need to pay to take that module again. We don’t offer refunds for any places booked on programmes or modules.

Do I have to pay before I take the programme?

Yes, you do need to pay in advance of the programme. If you’re unable to attend the programme we will offer an alternative programme to join.

Do I need to complete Lead to Succeed before I do Well Led?

No, it’s best practice to have completed the Lead to Succeed programme but it’s not a requirement.

Can I complete Lead to Succeed and Well Led?

Yes, you can complete both programmes and claim back funding for both once they are completed.

When will I get my Certificate?

Once you complete all 5 Lead to Succeed or all 4 Well Led Modules, your certificate will be sent directly to you or your manager.

Is there any work to do outside of the programmes?

There are occasionally tasks or activities to complete before each module but these should take no more than 30 minutes to complete. Action plans are completed throughout the programme and we recommend that you use these to set yourself objectives to improve your leadership skills.

How long is each module?

Each module is 3 hours long and runs from either 10am to 1pm or 2pm – 5pm. The specific times for each module can be found on the relevant module or programme on our events page, there are breaks throughout each module.

What is the Adult Social Care Workforce Data Set ASCWDS

This is an online data collection service and the leading source of workforce information for the adult social care sector in England.

How do I claim funding back from the Workforce Development Fund?

Once the programme has been completed and you have your certificate, you can claim funding back directly from Skills for Care or through an Employer Led Partnership. You must be Adult Social Care Workforce Data Set (ASCWDS) compliant in order to claim funding.

Where is my Unique Learner Number (ULN)?

Lead to Succeed and Well Led are Learning programmes and don’t require a Unique Learner Number (ULN) to claim back funding.
