Care Home - Staff Training Courses
Training for care home staff is quite rightly mandatory, but with our eLearning training platform it need not be a chore. We encourage unlimited learning and progression to help the organisations we support be better workplaces.
What are we offering?
We created a set of care courses specifically with the care home in mind. It is an incredibly simple and cost-effective offer, we package unlimited care training courses for a very low monthly per person fee (£24 per person for the whole year)
A full list of courses is available here
Some of the included courses: care home topic courses
In fact, our subscription includes managed access to every mandatory and elective health and social care courses that we ever made (70+) and will make. It has both staff and manager courses and covers adult and child social care, care home, residential and nursing together with all CQC related courses too.
If you would like to try before you buy, we offer Free Care Courses which family carers will also find useful.
What makes us different?
Not having to pay for individual courses makes it simple for the manager, no credits to manage, no more ordering courses individually, but most importantly open up the organisation to having a much more qualified team for a much lower cost. People can study whatever you want them to, at any time, at their own pace.
People can progress their careers. We recognise staff's previous learning, making the time spent on new courses more interesting and entertaining than the repetitive courses of the past.
We think that trained people who are good at their jobs tend to spread happiness, and developing the continuous learning mindset is our mission at Grey Matter Learning.
Why eLearning?
Training staff is now easy to do through eLearning. Traditional Care Home Training Courses were all face to face, before videos started to appear.
eLearning is more efficient
People have become familiar with online technology and it has enabled a much more efficient blend of learning and training.
Because eLearning courses are 1-1, it helps staff manage their own training schedule, at their own pace, with reminders to complete their designated care courses. A group session only learns at the pace of its slowest student.
Because courses are self-paced, interruptions are less problematic than group-based training the very nature of online courses means staff can catch up individually at appropriate times. It's just easier.
Helpful for managers
Better learning outcomes
The aim of our learning is not only to meet the regulations, is it with the hope of a more efficient and brighter workplace.
Our eLearning has it's place alongside traditional learning, supplementing and preparing the team in an ongoing way. Know, Understand and Do, is the way we describe learning, assessment and practice.
