So, who assesses the assessor to ensure they are competent? We can help you to do this quickly and effectively. This online course is designed to support assessors to demonstrate they have the knowledge and skills to be a competent Care Certificate assessor.
Care Certificate Fast Track
Have you got an NVQ or years of experience in the social care sector? Ever been for an interview and been told you have to do the Care Certificate again?
The Care Certificate Interview course checks the knowledge and understanding against a selection of outcomes from the Care Certificate. It is designed to be used as part of the recruitment process, usually to check that people who have already completed the Care Certificate have retained a good level of information to avoid repeating the Care Certificate in full.

Skills for Care is the “Sector Skills Council” for Social Care. There are others, like Skills for Business and Automotive Skills: the full list is here: http://www.ssda.org.uk/list-of-sector-skills-councils.htm
They “set the standards” based on the CQC regulations and the legislation which is the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (regulated activities) regulations 2014.
Skills for Care also supports the learning and development of the Social Care sector through programmes like Lead to Succeed and Well Led, all of which are funded through the WDF (Workforce Development Fund), awaiting confirmation for this year 2020-2021.
